Meet Faith

Faith is two years old and has been diagnosed with Cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, craniosyntosis, CVI,RES

Faith's mom says, our sweet girl has cerebral palsy and is very low tone. She also has hydrocephalus so her head is quite large. She is unable to sit on her own or lift her head went on her belly. She also has CVI so she can only see light shadow and color. My sweet girl is also missing her vermis which is the part of your brain responsible for balance and coordination. She also has a much smaller cerebellum than normal. She is such a fighter!

She loves to babble, "swim" and she always lights up the room when she shares her laughter with us.

Our sweet girl is an inspiration. No matter what is thrown at her medically she continues to thrive and prove people wrong. She is always surprising us with new skills and she never stops smiling. She loves animals, the sun, and spreading joy.

We took our sweet girls hands and traced them with grey to symbolize the darkness that her diagnosis tries to cover her with. We filled in her hands with white crayon to symbolize the love and light she shares with us daily. She used her hands to spread watercolor paints over the top of the drawing.  We like to think this picture symbolizes her strength in always reaching towards the joy and light no matter what life throws her way.

Our sweet girl has come so far since she came home from the NICU and although life has been nothing short of challenging as we navigate the world with her, we have learned more than words can express in our time with her. Being a medical mama is hard but there is so much love and light along the way if you look for it.

We, at 7 Pines, love the artwork and what it symbolizes! It sounds like she is an amazing little girl!
